Nauris – designer at WIT Berry

Updated: Sep 4, 2018

Nauris is the one responsible for HATCH’s logo and visual identity. He is a designer with more than 10 years of experience and has been working with Linda on different projects for almost 10 years. The interesting thing about their collaboration is that they first met after working together online for more than 5 years.

“You don’t have to be in the same room and watching a person’s back to get good results. Nauris is a very responsible person. He always tries to do his best. And what I really like about working with him is that he’s not a drama queen. Even if he has to redesign a flyer completely for subjective reasons, he’ll do it,” says Linda, WIT Berry’s communication manager.

What fascinates you about space?

The infinite size of the universe, the distances between space objects, black holes and the idea that somewhere there must be other living beings. These concepts are mind-blowing.

Your first memories of HATCH

I remember discussing the project with Linda. It was very interesting and challenging since we had to create a logo and visual identity for a very wide target audience. I must say that my first impression was that this is quite a big challenge – the whole concept. But as soon as we started to work on it, we sorted things out and it all went well.

The most exciting part of the HATCH project

Of course, for me it was obviously the designing part. I felt a huge responsibility and at the same time excitement. Also, it really helped that the time dedicated to brand design was extended a bit. I started to think, read and explore before the actual work had to be started, but creating the idea and all the materials still required a great deal of effort.

The next exciting part will be to see how the web designer applied the visual identity and brand book to the web portal’s design.
