Concept Specification & Analysis
Updated: Apr 16, 2018
Concept Specification & Analysis was the first work package in the HATCH project that started in November 2017.
Concept Specification and Analysis set the foundation for the project to test some assumptions that we had made and to review and refresh some of the work that we had done as part of the proposal preparation.
We refreshed the public survey and distributed this widely to collect information from the potential audience for HATCH to ensure that we understood the requirements of the system. The organisation of the information was assessed based on a review of the available data and expanded where additional data had become available. This feeds into the system architecture to ensure that the system can manage relevant data models.
Supporting this was activity to engage with national space agencies so that we could begin to publicise the benefits of HATCH and start discussions on incorporating additional data into EC projects.
In addition, we began to look at the future sustainability of the project beyond its funding period, the potential business models and whether this would have any impact on the structural design and development of the system.
The work was lead by Catena Space with the participation of others.
